 Food processing factories require stainless steel for almost all production lines, so the metal contaminates are generally stainless material. Nonmagnetic austenite family, SUS304 or 316L can be  attracted  by magnets if shocked (cutting, shredding, twisting, grinding, pressing buffing and polishing), welding or rubbing are involved. Deformation will also cause magnetic attraction.
